Given that you will experience various connection speeds depending on the traffic on your local Internet Service Provider's network, there are circumstances when you may not be able to access the flash content or videos of our course. Below are the most common troubleshooting steps for you to try:

Task 1: Check System Requirements:
  1. Ensure that you are using a supported browser:
    • Internet Explorer 6 or later
    • Firefox 1.0 or later
    • Safari 1.2 or later
    • NOTE: AlcoholEdu for Sanctions and MentalHealthEdu DO NOT support Safari.
  2. Ensure that you are running Flash Player 10 or higher by performing the following steps:
    1. Go to Google (or other search engine) and search for "flash version check" (no quotes).
    2. Select the link that says Adobe - Flash Player. Direct link: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about
    3. The installed version information will display on the screen.
    4. Need to upgrade? Go to: http://www.adobe.com and click the button that says Get Flash Player.
  3. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, continue to Task 2.

Task 2: Troubleshooting:
  1. Switch to Audio Only mode: (NOTE: This mode is only available in the courses listed in the table below).
  2. Close all other applications and tabs, eg: iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Additionally, do not have any CDs or DVDs playing on the computer while viewing the course.
  3. Reboot the computer.
  4. Switch to another supported browser.
  5. Disable all popup blockers and third party toolbars.
  6. If on a wireless connection, try a wired connection.
  7. Try accessing the course from a different connection (computer lab, library, etc.)
  8. Try accessing the course at a different time of day (eg: during non-peak Internet usage hours, like morning).
  9. If you are still having problems, please contact us for support.

    Audio Only Instructions
    AlcoholEdu for College
    1. Log into AlcoholEdu and click MyAlcoholEdu on the left side of the page.
    2. Click the Course Settings button.
    3. Change the drop-down menu to Audio Only.
    4. Click the Save Media Settings button.
    5. Close the MyAlcoholEdu window.
    6. Refresh the screen.
    AlcoholEdu for Sanctions
    1. Log into AlcoholEdu and click Media Settings in the upper right corner.
    2. Select Audio Only for the media option.
    GreekLifeEdu
    1. Log into GreekLifeEdu and click MyGreekLifeEdu on the left side of the page.
    2. Click the Course Settings button.
    3. Change the drop-down menu to Audio Only.
    4. Click the Save Media Settings button.
    5. Close the MyGreekLifeEdu window.
    6. Refresh the screen.
