In an effort to reduce waste aligned with the campus sustainability initiative, Lesley is implementing double-sided printing and pay-for-print throughout the University.

Students taking classes at Lesley's Campuses will be provided $15 in print credits each semester.  Each time a student prints to a Lesley provided printer, they will be charged $.15 per double-sided page or $.10 per single-sided page.

Once an individual's print credits are exhausted, he or she will be required to add funds for printing in $2, $5, & $10 increments using his or her Lesley Lynx Card.

How to print:


Upon logging in, the print management dialog will pop-up.  A small window will open that reads a "Balance for lab" as $0.00.  *This is normal and means that the print monitor is working.
 
Simply work on your files as you would normally, when you are ready to print, select your printer through the normal system print dialog prompt. (File > Print)
(CTRL+P on Windows) or (?+P on Mac). 


Next, select your desired printer.
*Notice, most lab locations will limit your printer options to the printer(s) designated to those areas specifically.

After sending your file to print, you will be prompted with a dialog asking you to login:

In this login, please use your Lesley Username and password:
(e.g. the same username and password used for myLesley, email, and colleague/LOIS)

Upon logging-in, your print will be sent to the corresponding printer.


ALSO, the balance window will change to reflect the currently logged-in user's balance.

UPDATE:   After sending a print to the printer and logging in, a pop-up dialog will appear asking you to confirm your print job and cost.  *This was added to provide valuable information about the print job.  If you do NOT wish to print given the cost or job description, you may choose to cancel the print at this time.  (See below)

Upon clicking "Details" a web-browser will open and present you with a login prompt.
Once again, login with your Lesley Username & Password.


Once logged-in, you will have access to a variety of usage statistics within Information Technology's managed print services at Lesley. Please feel free to navigate and explore:



UPDATE:  You are able to add value using your Lesley Card/Lesley Cash Lynx.  To do so, simply select the "Add Credit with Lesley Cash Lynx" menu option:



  
 In the "Card Number" blank, simply add the ISO# that is printed on the back of your LesleyCard.    This will be the 16-digit number printed on the back of your id.
*** Important:  You must have stored value on your card before purchasing Lesly Print Credits.

Refund Eligibility:

Refunds for prints can and may be issued under appropriate circumstances.
As a general rule of thumb, any mechanical issue related to the abnormal functioning of the printer that results in lost or damaged prints may be refunded.
This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Smudged prints
  • Faded/streaky prints
  • Paper Jams
  • Crumpled/folded paper due to feed errors
In very rare instances, prints may fail due to communication problems between the printer and the workstation.  In this event, transactions may have occurred, but no print emerges from the printer.  If this happens, please stay calm.  Log into the account management (via web-browser) and confirm that your print job was released in the appropriate location and that it is not pending release.

To claim your print refund,
Please notify:
IT Support (ext. 8770),
and the technical issue will be resolved and refunds will be given in a timely fashion.

*** Please provide the time, date, location, and print-job title/request so that we can search the print log for your particular documents.
